Pop-up vaccination clinic to come to Burdekin PCYC
Townsville Hospital and Health Service vaccination staff are setting up clinics in regional centres, encouraging residents to get their COVID vaccination.
A Queensland Health, Townsville Hospital and Health Service COVID vaccination clinic will be set up at the Burdekin’s PCYC building from Monday, September 20-22.
Residents in need of their first or second COVID jabs can book a vaccination through vaccinebookings.health.qld. gov.au or by calling 134 COVID (13 42 68)
Walk-ins will also be accepted, however, bookings are preferred.
Townsville Hospital and Health Service Chief Executive Kieran Keyes said residents over 12 are eligible for the vaccine.
“The team will visit the Burdekin monthly up until November to ensure people can get both their first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine,” he said.
The vaccination outreach team will visit the Burdekin again from October 18-20 and November 15-17.
