Pfizer announced today that Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) had granted provisional approval for the supply and use of Paxlovid tablets and Ritonavir tablets in Australia.

Paxlovid has provisional approval for treating COVID-19 in adults 18 years and older in cases where hospitalisation is not severe.    Specially developed in Pfizer’s laboratories, Paxlovid is the first oral antiviral of its kind.
