Ayr Surf Life Saving Club to bring Paint n Sip Night to Alva Beach

Those with a penchant for painting and perhaps a glass of red are invited to the Ayr Surf Life Saving Club at Alva Beach for the club’s first-ever Paint n Sip night.

Those with a penchant for painting and perhaps a glass of red are invited to the Ayr Surf Life Saving Club at Alva Beach for the club’s first-ever Paint n Sip night.

The event will be the first fundraising event for the Surf Club’s Surf Woman of the Year entrant, Erlinda Nunn.

Hosting the art class and social night will be Celeste Kutek from Townsville, a former member of the Ayr Surf Club.

Erlinda explains that each Surf Woman has a goal of raising at least 5,000 dollars while representing her club, with several events planned over the next few months.

“All the money does go back into the club, and we use that to purchase new equipment and support our training programs.“I’m really getting into the groove of being Surf Woman, and I’m really excited for these events that are coming up.”

The Ayr Surf Life Saving Club Paint n Sip event will be held at the Alva Beach Surf Club Friday, September 24, from 6.30 pm.

Tickets are available for $40 at Butterfly Blue on Queen Street, cash only.
