Burdekin Cascades makes the Gold List

The Burdekin Cascades Caravan Park in Ayr has been announced on the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Gold List.

The Burdekin Cascades Caravan Park in Ayr has been announced on the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Gold List, recognising properties across the State which have achieved the highest rating by travellers over a 12-month period.

The rating follows a very busy 18 months for the region, with many Queenslanders making the most of the opportunity to holiday in their own backyard.

Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the Gold List ranking was fantastic recognition for the work of staff and the wider community.

“I want to congratulate Council’s Burdekin Cascades Caravan Park team for their tireless work welcoming travellers to our Shire and providing such well-kept amenities, and thank residents for their friendliness to other locals and visitors alike,” Cr McLaughlin said.

“Being named on the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Gold List is a testament to the park’s commitment to consistently exceeding expectations and providing a high-quality experience to their guests.

“There is so much more to travelling than just the accommodation you stay at – our Shire is well-known along the Bruce Highway for being an inviting overnight stop with not only great caravan and camping facilities but a number of attractions for all tourists to enjoy, such as the views from the top of the Mount Inkerman Nature Trail, unique beach huts and untouched coastline at Wunjunga and the swirling sand dunes of Lynches Beach at Alva.”
